Fielden. A 42 metre front garden hedge of hawthorn and horse chestnut laid crop and pleach with live stakes. As well as simplifying management of the hedge, laying gave much better visibility at the adjacent turning for both vehicles and equestrians

Start of hedge mostly horse chestnut due to adjacent horse chestnut standards. It's a soft wood, easy to lay somewhat similar to hazel

Weedon, a 27 metre maiden mixed hedge planted by the client of hawthorn, hornbeam, hazel and dogwood laid crop and pleach style using live stakes. The requirement was to lay the hedge to stop it shading the house.
