Oving, Bucks, 75 metres former farm hedge, now a garden boundary, mostly hawthorn with some blackthorn. The hedge was very variable along its length since several huge leylandii trees in the garden had severely shaded some of it until recently take down by the new owners. Some sections needed support so the hedge was staked and bound and laid South of England style. The Outer Aylesbury Ring footpath runs right past this hedge.

...same view, work underway - a shrubby self-set yew has been converted into a cute little tree

...and after. Hedges always look good with frost or snow on them.

There's an apple tree behind there somewhere..

...and a greenhouse too!

Same view four months after laying with lots of cow parsley growing on the verge between the ditch by the hedge and the adjacent footpath

...that looks better.

Laying the hedge revealed a fine view towards Whitchurch. Excess brush from hedge still to be cleared.
